Swindon Cricket Club has been a part of our community since 1903, making it one of the enduring village cricket clubs in Staffordshire. Our club was established in the village of Swindon (South Staffordshire), about five miles from Dudley, during a time when cricket was blossoming across the county. (In fact, Staffordshire’s county cricket team was founded in 1871, evidence of how well-rooted the sport was by the early 1900s.) A group of local cricket enthusiasts came together to form Swindon Cricket Club in 1903, laying the foundation for over a century of cricketing heritage that followed.
